Although this interview took place before the Internet was prevalent, NY, I agree with you. The false sense of accomplishment that video games, easy to use computer recording programs, hell, even online debate afford some people is a major hindrance to any tangible accomplishment. Yes, you may have beat a video game before everyone else in your circle of friends, but they are inevitably going to beating the game as well and “first” isn’t that big of a deal when no competition actually exists.

They are learning this BECAUSE of the internet. TV and video games have created a generation of kids who lack individual thought and creativity, I find the internet to be extreamly stimulating for thought, especially because it is NOT controlled like main stream media.

I feel he’s wrong. The reason why music stinks is because of the internet. The kids that might of made music before are sitting home on their computers on the internet or playing with their ipods instead of making music.
